CYC Staff Spotlight: Aaron Wolgamott
You might recognize the name; it is becoming more familiar in our community and we are excited about that! He wrote an article for our September Bunchberry and presented a chapel service for CYC 2020 Online. Aaron Wolgamott was prepared to be the chaplain for CYC 2020, but when we moved to an online format, those plans obviously changed. Fortunately, he agreed to be our chaplain for CYC 2021.
We can’t wait to get to know Aaron better as we spend two weeks with him next summer! In the meantime- and because this community expands far beyond those who will attend CYC next August- enjoy some highlights from his biography…
In college, Aaron double-majored in Christian Education (of Youth) and Biblical Studies and he is currently the Student Ministry Pastor at Bridgeway Christian Church in Derry, NH.
Throughout his life, he has lived in TWELVE different states! And there are only FIVE states that he has never traveled to. Which ones? You’ll have to ask him. He has also traveled to ELEVEN different countries! Many of his travels have been for mission trips, but his family moved a lot throughout his childhood and he travels for pleasure too. I am sure he has many stories to share!
Aaron is not just a pastor, missionary, and world-traveler, though. He is also a father of four, a sports fan, and a writer. He played football in high school, played soccer in college, and has been a big football fan forever. You’ll have to talk to him about his favorite team, but I’ll give you one clue (spoiler alert!): it’s not the Patriots.

Aaron is going to be a great asset to our program staff! We know he will fit in well at CYC, since he loves the outdoors and campfires and he loves ministering to Christian teens.
