CYC Staff Spotlight: Austin Williams
Meet Austin! Rev. Austin Williams is the Minister of Students at Bethany Church in Ellicott City, MD. Georgia is where Austin grew up and grew in his faith, but he moved north as he continued his education and entered the field of ministry. He earned his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC and then was called to serve in Maryland.
Austin brings a variety of ministry experience including international, college, young professional, and student ministry. CYC is excited to have him as our chaplain this year. We also look forward to welcoming his wife Sarah, and their almost two year old son, Daniel Thomas, who will join him at Conference in August.
Austin is passionate about youth ministry and is very excited about joining the CYC family this summer! In fact, it was at a summer camp in Alabama that the Lord called him into ministry. He enjoys anything outdoors and looks for any chance to get out on either the road or local mountain bike trails, so he will fit right in with the adventures we have at CYC. We are sure that we will see him out on the baseball field playing all kinds of games, including spike ball!
He also loves telling jokes! Be prepared for chapel services to have at least a couple of jokes in them. Be sure to come prepared with some for him, too, and maybe he will include a couple of them in our talent show at the end of the two weeks!
As we are leading up to camp, please continue to keep Austin in your prayers as he prepares to bring us a message that God has laid on his heart to share. We are very excited to see how God uses Austin to build his kingdom and bring the youth of CYC closer to him!
Austin will be our chaplain in 2022. Visit our 2022 Conference Page to learn more about our 2022 conference and get registered.
