John Wilber Memorial Fund

John Wilbur, together with his beloved wife Jane, served the Christian Youth Conference and its predecessor ministries for over 50 years, and is one of those individuals without which CYC would not be here today. John was a strong and passionate advocate for youth, and continues to serve as an inspiration and example to our faculty, staff, and students. His legacy is palpable in every corner of the program, from the continued popularity of his most famous class, “God’s Great Sea and Shore”, to the consistently high quality of our annual Talent Show, to the daily weather report.

After John’s passing in 2011, Jane and several friends of CYC agreed to establish a memorial fund in John’s name to enable young people to continue to be blessed by the CYC experience. The John Wilbur Memorial Scholarship Fund supports students and some of our young adult junior staff who need assistance to participate in CYC. Donors are asked to subscribe to the fund by donating on a monthly or annual basis. For further information, please contact Melinda Parry at registrar@cycop.org.
